La Cadiere Garden City

In today’s globalized cities, the need for distinctiveness and green spaces is pressing. SCDA’s design for La Cadiere Garden City in Chengdu aims to contrast towering structures with serene landscapes. Inspired by monumental architecture, the design integrates expansive green spaces, with towers forming a commanding presence in the master plan. The towers, clad in glazed ceramic fins, are positioned along a folded landscape spine, providing views of a lake and parkland. Dynamic green spaces and shaded walkways create inviting plazas for events and relaxation. The development features a private clubhouse and integrates harmoniously with nature, enhancing the city’s new center.
