The Azabudai master plan in Tokyo aims to create a dynamic new district with residential, commercial, retail, and institutional spaces centered around a large central park. The residential tower features a design with varying unit types and strong connections to the park. The massing includes deep, high “cuts” to enhance natural light and ventilation, breaking down the building’s scale. These cuts, extending 12 stories, create double-volume terraces and are alternated to visually reduce the tower’s mass. Apartments are modular, with four-and five-bedroom units offering two-story spaces, private pools, and terraces, particularly in upper levels, providing expansive views over Tokyo.
